Boffa
Boffa produces Nebbiolo-based Barbarescos from Piemonte in northern Italy. The winery's core releases include Barbaresco Ovello and Barbaresco Pajè, both expressions of the region's signature variety. Nebbiolo in Barbaresco yields wines of structure and complexity—high acidity, firm tannins, and the capacity to age. Both Ovello and Pajè have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Decanter. The standard Barbaresco rounds out the portfolio. Piemonte's continental climate and calcareous soils shape the character of these wines, which typically show savory, earthy notes alongside dark fruit. Boffa's focus on single-vineyard and core Barbaresco bottlings reflects the traditional approach of the region, where terroir distinction and varietal purity define the category.
