Broglia

Broglia operates in Gavi, the Cortese stronghold of southeastern Piemonte, where limestone-rich soils and Alpine influence shape crisp, mineral white wines. The winery works primarily with Cortese, the region's signature grape, alongside Timorasso from the neighboring Colli Tortonesi. Its flagship Gavi di Gavi expresses the precision and structure Gavi is known for—dry, high-acid, with subtle stone-fruit character. The Vecchia Annata, also Cortese-based, and the Derthona Colli Tortonesi Timorasso, made from a more obscure local variety, demonstrate the winery's range across northern Piemonte's white wine terroirs. Both prestige critics and major wine publications including Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter have assessed Broglia's output, reflecting its standing within the region's quality conversation.
