Casanel produces red wines and sparkling wine from Virginia, drawing on the region's continental climate and diverse terroir. The winery's portfolio centers on Bordeaux varieties and Norton, a native American grape with deep roots in the state. José, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carménère, and K2, built from Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, represent the winery's approach to structured red blends.
