Château de Laussac
Château de Laussac sits in Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux, the eastern extension of Bordeaux's Right Bank, where clay and limestone soils favor Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The estate produces two principal wines: Cuvée Sacha and Côtes de Castillon, both built on the region's signature blend of these two varieties. Merlot provides the core—soft tannins and dark fruit—while Cabernet Franc adds structure and herbal complexity. Wine Spectator and Decanter have rated both wines, with Cuvée Sacha reaching 89 points and the Côtes de Castillon at 87.9. The appellation's cooler microclimate and lower elevation compared to Pomerol and Saint-Émilion create wines of balance rather than opulence, suited to food and moderate cellaring.
