Château Haut Sociondo
Château Haut Sociondo sits in Blaye, the northernmost appellation of Bordeaux's right bank. The estate works the classic Bordeaux blend—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec—across its vineyard holdings. The Cuvée Prélude Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, represents the winery's core expression. A second offering, the Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux, draws on all five varieties in the traditional mix. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Decanter. Blaye's cooler maritime influence and clay-limestone soils produce wines with structure and freshness, distinct from the weightier expressions found further south in Bordeaux.
