Château La Tour de Mons
Château La Tour de Mons sits in Margaux, the Médoc's most elegant appellation, where gravelly soils and a maritime climate shape wines of refinement and structure. The estate produces two expressions of Margaux: the flagship blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, and the Marquis de Mons Margaux, a trio of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Both wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. The flagship Margaux, with its four-varietal composition, reflects the classical architecture of the appellation—Cabernet-led structure tempered by Merlot's softness and the textural complexity of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The Marquis de Mons offers a streamlined interpretation of the same terroir. Margaux as a region is defined by its balance: wines with backbone and aging potential, yet marked by an ethereal quality that distinguishes them from the denser expressions found elsewhere in the Médoc.
