Château Laulerie
Château Laulerie produces wines from Guyenne, in South West France, a region defined by its blend of Atlantic influence and continental character. The winery's portfolio centers on Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec—grapes that thrive in the region's clay and limestone soils. The Comtesse de Ségur Montravel Rouge, a Merlot and Malbec blend, anchors the range, joined by a varietal Bergerac Cabernet Franc and the Bergerac Réserve, a three-grape blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator. The South West remains one of France's least heralded but structurally sound regions, where traditional Bordeaux varieties find expression distinct from their Left Bank counterparts—leaner, more mineral, often with darker fruit and earthier tannins.
