Domaine Chante Cigale
Domaine Chante Cigale produces wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Southern Rhône's most prestigious appellation. The estate works with the region's classic varieties: Roussanne for white wines, and a blend of Mourvedre, Syrah, Cinsault, and Grenache for reds. The Extrait Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, made from Roussanne, and La Serine Châteauneuf-du-Pape, built on Syrah, both achieve 93-point averages from prestige critics including Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée—a structured blend of the region's traditional grapes—rates at 92.5 points. These wines reflect Châteauneuf-du-Pape's character: full-bodied reds with depth and complexity, and whites with aromatic presence and mineral tension. The appellation's warm southern exposure and distinctive terroir of large rolled stones create conditions for ripe, concentrated fruit balanced by the natural structure these varieties bring.
