Domaine du Salvard produces wines from Cheverny, in the heart of Touraine's Middle Loire Valley. The estate focuses on two classical Loire varieties: Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Its Sauvignon Blanc expresses the mineral, herbaceous character typical of the region, while the Vieilles Vignes Le Petit Salvard Cheverny, built from older Cabernet Franc vines, offers the structured red wines for which the appellation is recognized. Both the straight Sauvignon Blanc and the Emmanuel Delaille Cheverny—also Sauvignon Blanc–based—have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Wine Advocate.
