Domaine Trotereau

Domaine Trotereau is situated in Quincy, a limestone-rich appellation within the Upper Loire Valley. The estate focuses on Sauvignon Blanc, the region's signature variety, which thrives in Quincy's distinctive terroir of clay and flint soils. The winery produces two core expressions: Quincy, a vibrant expression of the appellation's mineral character, and Quincy Vieilles Vignes, drawn from older vines that yield greater concentration and complexity. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate. The Vieilles Vignes bottling, in particular, demonstrates the depth that mature Sauvignon Blanc vines can achieve in this corner of the Loire, where cool nights and well-drained soils preserve the grape's natural acidity and aromatic intensity.
