Jacques Charlet

Jacques Charlet produces Gamay from three distinct Beaujolais crus, each expressing the mineral precision and dark-fruit character the region is known for. Climat Champ de Cour Moulin-à-Vent, the flagship, captures the structure and aging potential Moulin-à-Vent terroir demands. Climat Les Charmes Morgon and La Victorine Saint-Amour round out the portfolio, showcasing how Gamay responds to different soil and elevation across the region's northern appellations. The wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Wine Advocate. Beaujolais Gamay, when grown on granite and schist, yields wines of surprising depth—neither light nor simple, but rather elegant and food-friendly, with tannins that soften with modest cellaring.
