Marrelli produces wine in Calabria, the southernmost region of mainland Italy. The winery works with indigenous grapes native to Southern Italy's challenging terrain and Mediterranean climate. Lakinio, a red blend of Gaglioppo and Magliocco Canino, represents the winery's core expression. Bizantino Rosato, a rosé made from Gaglioppo, Nerello Mascalese, and Greco Bianco, offers a different angle on the region's varietal palette. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator. Calabria's volcanic soils and intense sun produce wines of distinctive character—often structured reds and mineral-driven whites and rosés that reflect the region's uncompromising geography.
