Pietro Cassina

Pietro Cassina produces Nebbiolo and Vespolina wines from Piemonte in Northern Italy. The winery's portfolio centers on two Nebbiolo expressions: Lessona Tanzo and Severina Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo, both of which have been assessed by Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. The house also makes Tèra Russa Vespolina, a wine built from the region's secondary red variety. Nebbiolo, the grape behind Piemonte's most structured reds, demands cool hillside sites and yields wines of high acidity and firm tannin. Vespolina, lighter and more delicate, offers a counterpoint within the region's traditional palette. Pietro Cassina's selections reflect the terroir-driven character of their Piemontese base, where elevation and soil composition shape the final expression in the glass.
