Ripalte

Ripalte operates in Sardegna, the Mediterranean island region of southern Italy known for distinctive indigenous varieties and sun-driven winemaking. The winery works with grapes suited to Sardegna's climate: Aleatico, a dark-skinned variety that yields rich, concentrated wines, and Alicante Bouschet, a teinturier grape prized for its depth and structure. The flagship Alea Ludendo Aleatico Passito dell'Elba is a passito—a wine made from dried grapes—that expresses the intensity characteristic of the style. A dry Alicante and a rosato made from Aleatico round out the core range. Wine Advocate and Falstaff have rated these releases, reflecting their standing among prestige critics.
