Rola

Rola is situated in the Douro, the steep-terraced wine region of Northern Portugal's Duriense subregion. The winery works with the classic Portuguese varieties that define the area: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cão. These grapes, adapted to the Douro's schist soils and continental climate, yield structured red wines of depth and aging potential. Rola's portfolio centers on blends that reflect the region's character. Vinha das Marias Tinto, a blend of all four varieties, leads the range. Malu & Maitê pairs Touriga Nacional with Touriga Franca for a more focused expression. The estate Tinto rounds out the core offerings, drawing on the same varietal palette. Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast have both assessed the winery's output, recognizing the technical quality of these releases.
