Ronchi di Manzano

Ronchi di Manzano works the limestone and marl soils of Colli Orientali del Friuli, in the northeastern corner of Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. The winery focuses on indigenous varieties that thrive in this continental climate: Friulano, a crisp white with mineral precision; Pignolo, a structured red of regional significance; and Verduzzo Friulano, a dessert wine of aromatic depth. These wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Falstaff, and Decanter. The Friulano and Pignolo rank highest among the winery's offerings, reflecting the terroir's capacity to produce whites of clarity and reds of complexity from grapes bred to the region's exacting conditions.
