Saint Gayan

Saint Gayan produces wines from Gigondas in the Southern Rhône, a region defined by sun-baked hillsides and the mistral wind that shapes its character. The winery works with the classic varieties of the south: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre for red wines; Clairette, Bourboulenc, Piquepoul Blanc, and Grenache Blanc for whites. Belle Jeanne Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, a white blend anchored by Clairette and Bourboulenc, demonstrates the mineral precision and aromatic lift possible in the region's white wines. In Nomine Patris Gigondas, a red built from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, reflects the darker, more structured expression of the appellation. The winery's Châteauneuf-du-Pape red, similarly composed, shows the depth and complexity the region's most celebrated terroirs can yield. Wines from Saint Gayan have been reviewed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Wine Advocate.
