Scala Dei

Scala Dei produces wines from Priorat, the steep-terraced region of southern Catalunya known for powerful, mineral-driven reds. The winery's portfolio centers on Garnacha and Cariñena, the traditional grapes of the denomination, which thrive in Priorat's schist soils and demanding climate. Masdeu, a Garnacha, and Heretge Priorat, built from Cariñena, represent the house's core expression—wines of depth and structure that have drawn assessment from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff. Sant Antoni, another Garnacha-based offering, rounds out a lineup rooted in the region's volcanic character and old-vine intensity. Scala Dei's wines embody Priorat's reputation for concentration and terroir-driven complexity.
