Skerk

Skerk produces wines from Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeastern Italy, a region defined by limestone soils and the influence of the Bora wind. The winery's portfolio centers on indigenous and classic varieties suited to this distinctive terroir. Ograde, a white blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Vitovska, and Malvasia, represents the house's approach to complexity through variety. Vitovska, a single-varietal expression of the local white grape, and Teran, made from Terrano, anchor the range in regional character. These wines have drawn assessment from Falstaff, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. The northeastern Italian coast remains one of Europe's most compelling sources for mineral-driven whites and structured reds, shaped by Alpine proximity and Adriatic influence.
