Socré

Socré produces Nebbiolo and Barbera from Piemonte, Italy's northeastern region. The winery's Barbaresco Roncaglie, made from Nebbiolo, represents the upper range of its portfolio. A core Barbaresco expression and Barbera d'Alba round out the lineup. Nebbiolo in this region yields wines of structure and complexity—pale in color, high in tannin and acidity, often requiring years to open. Barbera, by contrast, offers darker fruit and softer tannins. Socré's wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Wine Advocate, Falstaff, and Wine Spectator.
