Stellenrust

Stellenrust produces wines from Stellenbosch, in the Coastal Region of South Africa's Western Cape. The winery's portfolio centers on two distinct expressions: an eight-varietal blend called JJ Hand Made Eight Pillars, built from Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carignan, Pinotage, Cinsault, Shiraz, and Merlot; and barrel-fermented Chenin Blancs, including the Stellenbosch Manor release. Falstaff, Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator have rated these wines. The JJ Hand Made Eight Pillars represents an ambitious, multi-varietal approach to red winemaking, while the Chenin Blanc offerings showcase the region's capacity for textured white wines. Stellenbosch's cool maritime influence and diverse soils support both the complexity demanded by the red blend and the mineral precision of barrel-fermented white wine.
