Tenute Galtarossa
Tenute Galtarossa produces wines from Valpolicella, the storied red wine region of northeastern Italy's Veneto. The winery works with the traditional grape varieties of the zone: Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara—a blend that defines the region's character. Its Amarone della Valpolicella, made from the same trio of grapes, represents the appassimento method for which Valpolicella is renowned: grapes dried to concentrate their sugars and tannins before fermentation, yielding a wine of depth and structure. The Corte Colombara Valpolicella Classico Superiore, also built from Corvina, Molinara, and Rondinella, offers a more immediate expression of the terroir. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
