Valpiculata

Valpiculata produces wines from Castilla y León, Spain's expansive interior plateau. The winery works with Tempranillo and Tinta de Toro, indigenous varieties that thrive in the region's continental climate—hot days, cool nights, and sparse rainfall that concentrate fruit and tannin. Puertas Novas, a Tempranillo, anchors the portfolio, joined by two expressions built on Tinta de Toro: Crianza Tinta de Toro and Puertas Novas Crianza. These wines have been assessed by Falstaff, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Wine Advocate. Castilla y León's high altitude and old-vine vineyards yield structured reds with earthy depth and aging potential—wines that reflect the austerity and power of Spain's heartland.
