Vercoope

Vercoope produces wines from Vinho Verde, the distinctive region of Minho in northern Portugal known for its bright, refreshing whites. The winery works with the native grapes that define the area: Avesso, Alvarinho, Loureiro, Pederna, and Trajadura—varieties prized for their natural acidity and mineral character. Branco, a multi-varietal blend, draws from this traditional palette, while Varanda Dos Reis focuses on Alvarinho, the region's most celebrated grape, delivering the crisp, saline profile for which it is recognized. Both wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Advocate, and Falstaff. Vinho Verde's cool maritime climate and granitic soils produce wines of delicate structure and subtle complexity—far from the sweetened stereotype. Vercoope's offerings reflect the region's commitment to expressing terroir through indigenous varieties and restrained winemaking.
