Château de Fargues

Château de Fargues sits in Sauternes, the storied sweet-wine enclave of Bordeaux. The estate produces two distinct expressions: a Sauternes built from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, and Guilhem de Fargues, a dry Bordeaux that blends Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle. The Sauternes has earned particular recognition from Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Falstaff, and Wine Advocate. The dry Bordeaux, too, has drawn attention from the same roster of prestige critics. Both wines reflect the region's classical approach to grape selection and vinification—the sweet wine capturing the botrytis-concentrated character Sauternes demands, the dry wine showcasing the mineral and aromatic potential of its white varietals in a still format.
