Château Etang des Colombes
Château Etang des Colombes sits in Corbières, the rugged southern reach of Languedoc-Roussillon where Mediterranean heat and limestone soils shape wines of dark intensity and mineral grip. The estate's white, Bois des Dames Blanc, blends Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc into a wine of aromatic lift and textural depth—a departure from the region's red-wine reputation. The flagship red, Bois des Dames Corbières, marries Carignan's earthy spine with Mourvèdre's leather and spice, rounded by Syrah and Grenache. A second red, simply labeled Corbières, follows a similar path through the same southern Rhône and Iberian varieties. Decanter, Wine Spectator, and Wine Advocate have all assessed the portfolio, finding merit in the winery's command of Corbières' demanding terroir.
