Howard's Folly operates in Alentejano, the northernmost subregion of Portugal's Alentejo, a territory defined by warm continental climate and granite-based soils. The winery works with indigenous Portuguese varieties, drawing on the region's viticultural heritage. Casa Manoel Boullosa Quinta dos Pesos Vinho Generoso, made from Ramisco, represents the winery's work with fortified styles—a category with deep roots in Portuguese wine culture. The portfolio also includes Touriga Nacional, the country's signature dark-skinned variety, known for structure and dark fruit character.
