Scopetone

Scopetone produces Sangiovese-based wines from Toscana in central Italy. The winery's Brunello di Montalcino, made from Sangiovese, has been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Falstaff. A Rosso di Montalcino and a Sangiovese di Toscana round out the portfolio. Brunello di Montalcino, the region's most structured expression, demands bottle age; the Rosso offers earlier approachability. Both reflect the Montalcino terroir's capacity for wines of depth and complexity. The broader Sangiovese di Toscana sits between them in weight and aging potential. Sangiovese, Toscana's signature variety, yields wines marked by acidity, tannin structure, and red-fruit character that evolve with time.
