Icario produces wines from Montepulciano, in the heart of Toscana. The winery's portfolio centers on Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the region's signature expression built on Sangiovese—a grape that thrives in these Tuscan hills, yielding wines of structure and mineral precision. Sansasìa, the flagship, is pure Sangiovese, rated 92.0 by prestige critics including Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. The Vitaroccia Riserva blends Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, adding depth and complexity. A core Vino Nobile di Montepulciano rounds out the range, incorporating Canaiolo Nero alongside Sangiovese for traditional character.
